Switching IT provider without the disruption
Moving IT provider sounds daunting. We take it on, from the first conversation to the last cutover, and we plan it so your team keeps working.
What we move
We manage the whole migration, whichever combination of systems you run today.
Cloud services
Line-of-business apps and cloud platforms, moved or re-pointed with the right access and security settings.
Cloud servers
Servers hosted with your current provider, rebuilt or migrated into a managed environment we look after.
Microsoft 365
Mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive moved between tenants, or taken over from your current partner, with licences and security reviewed.
Google Workspace
Email, calendars, Drive and shared files, moved to Microsoft 365 or brought under our management as they are.
On-premise hardware
Servers, switches, firewalls and WiFi on your own site, documented, taken over and, where it makes sense, replaced or moved to the cloud.
How the move works

1. We listen and review
We ask what is and is not working, then take stock of your users, devices, cloud services and contracts. You get an honest view of what a move involves.
Planned

2. We plan the move
We agree the order of work, who needs to be told, and when each system moves. We plan cutovers around your working day, not ours.
Planned

3. We build and copy
We set up your new environment and copy your data across while your current systems carry on running. Nothing is switched off yet.

4. We check, then cut over
We test with a small group first, fix anything we find, then move everyone over, with an engineer on hand. Your old systems stay available until you are happy.

5. We look after you
Your team gets a helpdesk to call, your systems are monitored and patched, and we agree a regular review with your account manager. We help you tidy up the old provider's access.

What people worry about
Will my team be offline while you move us?
We plan the move to keep disruption to a minimum, and we copy data across before anything is switched over. client to confirm what can be promised about downtime for each type of migration
What happens to our data?
It stays yours. We copy it across, check it arrived, and keep your old systems available until you confirm everything works. Our data is stored in UK data centres.
Do you cancel our old contract for us?
No. You will need to tell your current provider yourself, because we cannot cancel agreements with your previous suppliers on your behalf. We will tell you what to check, such as notice periods and end dates, before you do.
Can you keep our phone numbers?
Usually, yes. Tell your current provider first. They may ask you to complete a Letter of Authority on company letterhead, then we submit the request and keep you updated.
Is my provider going to make it difficult?
Sometimes. We ask for admin access, documentation and handover support in plain terms, and we will tell you if something is holding up the move. Our guide to switching IT provider covers what to ask for and when.
Switching questions
