Cyber security services for UK businesses
We certify, protect and back up businesses of 30 to 1,000+ people. We are a Cyber Essentials certifying body, so we can assess you, fix the gaps and issue your certificate.
Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification
Cyber Essentials is the UK Government-backed scheme that checks the basics: firewalls, secure configuration, access control, software updates and malware protection. It is often a condition of public sector and supply chain contracts. Cyber Essentials is a self-assessment that we review before it is submitted. Cyber Essentials Plus adds a hands-on technical test of your systems.
We are a Cyber Essentials certifying body, so one team does the whole job: scoping, the questionnaire, fixing what the assessment finds, and issuing the certificate. We work with organisations in Newcastle, across the North East and throughout the UK.

Managed security that keeps working after the certificate
Certification is a snapshot. Security is what you do every day afterwards. As part of our managed IT service we run the day-to-day protection for you.

Endpoint detection and response (EDR)
Watches every laptop, desktop and server for attacks that traditional antivirus misses, and helps us contain a problem fast. EDR product and vendor, and whether 24/7 human monitoring is included

Patching and updates
Software and devices are kept up to date in the background, with planned maintenance out of hours, so known weaknesses are closed quickly.

Access and identity
Multi-factor authentication, sensible permissions and moves towards passkeys, so a stolen password is not the end of the story.

Reviews with your account manager
Quarterly meetings cover improvements, technology recommendations and cyber security, so your plan keeps pace with the threats.

Backup and business continuity
Prevention will not stop everything. When something does go wrong, the question is how fast you are working again. Our backups are fully managed, monitored and stored safely in the cloud, with an optional off-site copy in a secure data centre.
Backups alone may not be enough if you are offline for a day or more. Business continuity replicates your servers and key data to a secure cloud environment so you can carry on working. confirm the recovery-time claim ("available within an hour of an outage" on the live site) before it is published

Cyber security questions, answered
What does a cyber security company actually do?
We help you prevent, spot and recover from attacks. That means certification such as Cyber Essentials, protection on every device, patching, backups and a plan for the day something goes wrong.
What is the difference between Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus?
Cyber Essentials is a self-assessment questionnaire. Cyber Essentials Plus includes a technical audit of your in-scope systems, with scans and sample checks. Both are valid for 12 months.
Do we still need EDR if we already have antivirus?
Antivirus blocks known threats. EDR also records what happens on a device, so unusual behaviour is spotted and contained even when the malware is new. Most businesses we support benefit from it.
Can you certify us if we are not in Newcastle?
Yes. We support businesses across the UK, and the Cyber Essentials process can be done remotely.
Where do we start?
Talk to us. We will ask about your users, devices and cloud services, tell you honestly which certification fits, and give you a clear price.
